X, formerly known as Twitter, has suddenly made a strange change on its platform whereby when a news link is posted, its headline does not appear.
According to Elon Musk, owner of X, this will make posts look better.
Now when a link is posted on X, the image included in the news will appear in front of the user with the website domain written in the left corner but nothing else to indicate that the image is clicked. You will be redirected to another website.
This change has been made for iOS and desktop users and will make it harder for users to guess which image is news and which is normal.
The feature to remove headlines from link posts has been in the works since August.
On this occasion, Elon Musk said that this is being done under his direction, which will make the social media platform look better.
This is not the first time that X has taken such action against media organizations.
Such moves have been made since Elon Musk took ownership.
Elon Musk recently said in a tweet that he no longer reads news from traditional media.
He also mentioned that the X-algorithm is designed against links so that people can stay on the social media platform for as long as possible.
