A new privacy feature Secret Code has been introduced in WhatsApp.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the rollout of the feature to users.

Note that a few weeks ago this feature was made part of the beta version of WhatsApp and now it has been rolled out to users.

The secret code will basically improve WhatsApp’s chat lock feature.

It should be noted that the chat lock feature was introduced in May 2023 through which various chats are stored in a folder while accessing them through the phone unlock method.

Mark Zuckerberg said that users will be able to protect their LockChats with a unique password.

This new feature will further improve users’ privacy as their locked chats will not be visible.

He further informed that users’ lock chats will appear on the search bar only when they type the secret code.

The list of locked chats will not be visible, so even if someone else uses a user’s phone, it will not be possible for them to see sensitive conversations.
