Google will celebrate its 25th anniversary later this month (September 27).
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the world’s largest search engine, the company’s chief executive (CEO) Sundar Pichai in a blog post called artificial intelligence (AI) technology the most important development of the period.
He said that AI will be the biggest technological advancement in our lifetime and it could be even bigger than the internet.
Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google in 1998 with the goal of providing access to information from around the world.
Since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT in November 2022, technology companies have been working on the technology, with Google being the most prominent.
An AI chatbot named Bard was introduced by Google in February 2023 and has since incorporated AI technology into several of the company’s services.
Sundar Pichai said in a blog post that AI will change the world of technology while accelerating human innovation.
He said that making AI helpful for everyone and spreading it responsibly is our most important task for the next 10 years.
Before that An interview on June 13 Sundar Pichai had admitted that his company was lagging behind in some respects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
He said that the company will not rush to introduce products based on AI technology.
He said that AI technology will be introduced by Google in a responsible manner and on a long-term basis the company will be able to revolutionize the field.
