Threads was introduced by Meta in July 2023 to compete with X (Twitter’s new name).

In the beginning, people showed a lot of interest in this new social media platform, but then they started moving away from it.

But Meta’s efforts to improve threads are now paying off and its user base is growing.

Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, while releasing the company’s quarterly earnings report, said that the number of monthly users of Threads has exceeded 130 million.

He said that the number of users of Threads is increasing and now the number of people using it is more than the launch.

From October to December 2023, Threads saw an increase of 3 crore users.

The number of daily users of Meta’s apps Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp reached 3.19 billion in October-December, up from 3.14 billion in July-September.

The number of monthly users of these apps has reached 3.98 billion, which means that almost 50% of the world’s population uses Metakey’s apps at least once every month.

It should be noted that the number of monthly users of X is more than 50 crores.

Threads has also started to outpace X in terms of app downloads.

According to a report by AppFigures, Threads ranked sixth among the most downloaded apps on iOS and Android devices worldwide in December.

Compared to this, X came 36th in the segment.

It should be noted that Meta earned 39.18 billion dollars during October to December 2023, while the total revenue of this company in 2023 was 134.90 billion dollars.
