SpaceX owner Elon Musk has said that the company’s Starship rocket will be ready for a test flight to Mars within the next 4 years.
During a teleconference, Elon Musk said that SpaceX’s new and largest rocket to date could be sent to Mars in 2027.
“I think it is possible that an unmanned test flight will land there in the next 4 years,” he said.
Keep in mind that Elon Musk wants to put humans on Mars and has been talking about it for years.
For this purpose, SpaceX is developing a Starship rocket that will take humans to the Moon and Mars in the near future.
Starship is currently SpaceX’s largest rocket, but so far it has only completed one test during which it exploded in space.
The starship will be reusable and consists mainly of 2 parts.
One is a superheavy booster, which is a large rocket with 33 engines, while the other is a starship spacecraft that sits on top of the booster and detaches from it.
But Elon Musk termed the failure of the test as a success and said that it will be improved.
NASA’s Artemis 3 mission will land humans on the surface of the moon in 2025 and this work will be done with the help of a starship.
Elon Musk has stated several times that the sole purpose of establishing SpaceX is to develop a Starship-like vehicle that can help humans settle on Mars.

In an August 2022 journal article, Elon Musk said that human civilization should be able to travel to other planets.
He said, “If the earth becomes uninhabitable, we will have to fly to a new home in a space plane.”
Elon Musk added that the first step to achieve this goal is to reduce the cost of space travel and for this he founded SpaceX.
The richest man in the world said that he sees human civilization as a burning candle and we need to turn to other planets for our survival.
Elon Musk said his biggest hope for humans is to build a sustainable city on Mars.
