Scientists have discovered a planet that they thought should not exist.

The planet is 13 times larger than our Earth and orbits a star 9 times smaller than our Sun, which has baffled scientists.

Well, the size of the planet is not surprising, but its rotation around a very cool dwarf star is surprising to scientists.

LHS 3154 is one of the smallest and coolest stars in the universe.

A study in this regard was published in the journal Science.

The discovery shows how little we know about the universe, as we never expected such a large planet to orbit such a small star, the study said.

Stars are formed from large clouds of gas and dust, and these clouds continue to cool and collapse due to their own gravity.

As the gas and dust swirl around the newly formed stars, they gradually take the form of planets.

But until now it was believed that the amount of material needed to form a planet is very small compared to the mass of the host star.

According to the researchers, we never expected that such a large planet could exist around a small star, but now that such a planet has been discovered, now we have to re-examine the process of the formation of planets and stars.

The planet has been named LHS 3154 b and was discovered by the Habitable Zone Planet Finder.

The system is designed to detect planets orbiting cool stars outside our solar system.

Such planets have a high probability of having liquid water, which is considered important for life.

Observations of LHS 3154b revealed that it is very close to its host star and completes its orbit in just 3.7 days, or less than 4 days in a planetary year.

According to the researchers, if a star cools, then the planet has to move closer to it to keep itself warm enough to sustain liquid water.

He said that now we have to understand how such a large planet was formed around such a small star after which we will be able to understand more about the process of formation of the universe.
