Social media platform X (Twitter) has developed a new privacy policy, which is effective from September 29, 2023.

The Elon Musk-owned social media platform’s new privacy policy doesn’t bode well for users’ privacy.

The company has named it the X-Privacy Policy Online has also been released.

According to this policy, X may share users’ employment, education and other data with the company’s job listing platform.

Similarly, it has been reported that the metadata of encrypted messages can also be collected by X.

X will also have the right to collect certain users’ biometric data and other personal details under this Privacy Policy.

The policy states that we may collect users’ biometric details for security and identification purposes.

However, biometric data will be collected only from users who are part of the XK subscription program.

The company has not said whether this policy will be applied to customers moving away from the subscription plan in the near future.

It is also not clear whether users will have the right to refuse to provide biometric data.
