WhatsApp introduces new features every month to compete with rival apps.

Now another interesting feature is going to be added to the Meta-owned messaging app.

According to messaging app update tracking site WABetaInfo, a new feature has been introduced in the beta version of the app for Android devices.

Through this feature, users will be able to use their 3D avatar during video calls.

Note that the digital avatar feature has been around for a long time in Meta’s apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, and now it’s being further enhanced for the messaging app.

According to the report, when a user uses their avatar for a video call, it mimics facial movements and expressions in real-time.

Users can also turn off this feature during a video call.

Users using the beta version who have this feature will see the option during a video call and have to click on the switch to avatar button to use it.

Keep in mind that such a feature was also introduced in Facebook and Instagram in July, so it will surely be similar in WhatsApp as well.

That is, if you have used this feature in other Meta apps, you can imagine how it will be experienced on WhatsApp.

Currently this feature is in beta version so it is hard to say when it will be rolled out to all users.
