Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow users to share other people’s profiles as stories.

A user of X (Twitter’s new name) pointed out this new feature.

Profiles that will be shared as Stories will be displayed in the first 3 posts of an Instagram user, the user said in an X-post.

This feature will work like the Add Your Story feature currently in Instagram and users will also be able to follow the profile shared in the story.

With this new feature, people will be able to share their favorite creators’ profiles with friends and tell them what kind of content they share in the Meta-owned app.

X user also mentioned that now people will also be able to see a view profile button on Instagram which they can click on to share the profile.

Further details of this feature have not been revealed yet, but it is likely that shared profiles, like photos and videos, will automatically disappear after 24 hours.

This feature is still being worked on so it is hard to say when it will be rolled out to users.

Keep in mind that over the past months, Instagram has rolled out several new features to the photo-sharing platform.

For example, Reels has given the option to download videos while introducing AI technology based sticker generation and others.
