Google is the most popular search engine in the world, but chat GPT equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology has forced it to change itself.
This is why it has been working on SGE, an experimental search engine based on AI technology for the past few months, which is available to limited users.
A blog post by Google revealed that its AI search engine is getting some major updates in the coming weeks.
People who are currently using this search engine will see videos and images in the search results along with written results.
That is, if they search for a topic, the AI technology will present them with written explanations as well as videos from YouTube.
It should be noted that after the addition of ChatGPT to Microsoft’s search engine Bing, Google announced the introduction of its chatbot bard in February 2023.
The Bard chatbot is based on Google’s Language Model for Dialog Applications (LAMDA), but is not part of Google Search.
This Google AI search engine is different from other chatbots like ChatGPT or Bard because it also provides sources of details.
Which gives more help to the users as they can also visit the website which is referred by the AI search engine.
Along with these new changes, Google is also making the AI search engine faster so that the desired details can be accessed quickly.
How does this search engine work?
It should be noted that on the occasion of Google’s annual IO conference, the first glimpse of the search engine equipped with AI technology was presented by the company and access to it was provided to certain users.
This search engine allows users to ask questions in a more natural way.
Along with the traditional list of search results for these queries, AI-based summaries are also provided in response to the queries.
If the user asks a detailed question about a topic, a longer summary will appear.
Google has named it AI Power Snapshot.
This summary will include links to resources as well as different presentation format styles.
The summary will also encourage users to click on relevant questions, after which an AI chatbot will be activated to assist them.
