X (Twitter’s new name) has announced another big change.
According to a Bloomberg report, X is once again starting to show headlines on users’ web link posts.
Interestingly, the decision to remove the headline from the posts was made by Elon Musk, the owner of X himself.
For this, X made a change in October 2023 to remove the headline or text from the preview cards of weblink posts.
Since this change, link posts show only the image and a small web address written in the left corner of the image.
But at the beginning of the new year, headlines were once again seen in the link posts of some users on X-Feed, after which it is likely that this change will be seen in the accounts of all the people of the social media platform in the next few days. .
In November 2023, Elon Musk said that showing headlines or text in the preview card of web links is being reintroduced.
In an X-post at the time, Elon Musk said there would be an update soon after which the headline would appear at the top of the image in the preview card of the web link.
However, he did not clarify how long this update is being done.
Elon Musk also did not explain why he changed his mind.
Note that when text was removed from the preview card in October, Elon Musk said it would make posts look better.
A feature to remove headlines from link posts was started in August 2023.
When the text disappeared from the link posts, then people started writing the headline in the caption of the post.
Now restoring old preview cards will not require extra effort for these users.
