Elon Musk believes that artificial intelligence (AI) technology will gradually put everyone out of work around the world.
Remember that Elon Musk said on November 1 that AI technology could lead to the end of humanity.
Now in a new statement, the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and X said that AI technology could become the most disruptive force in history.
Speaking at a British government event at Lancashire House, Elon Musk said, “It’s hard to say when that will happen, but there will definitely come a time when jobs won’t be needed.”
“AI technology will be able to do everything,” he added.
He said that ‘I don’t know whether people will be happy with it or not, but it will be a big challenge in the future, how to find the purpose of our life’.
Elon Musk has repeatedly called AI technology a threat to humanity in the past.
At one point, he said that this technology could prove to be more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
In March 2023, he, along with several others, called on institutions working on AI technology to temporarily halt development of more advanced AI systems in an open letter.
Similarly, during the world’s first AI safety conference on November 1, Elon Musk said that this technology is a threat to the existence of humanity, because for the first time in history, humans will face a more intelligent opponent than themselves.
Government delegations from 28 countries including the United States, China, India, France, Germany and India participated in the 2-day conference in Great Britain.
All these countries also signed a declaration on the first day of the conference, which declared AI technology as a potential major threat to humanity.
