WhatsApp has added a new feature that will provide more protection to users’ privacy.

This feature called Alternate Profile has been introduced in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android devices.

WABetaInfo reports that the Meta-owned messaging service has added a new privacy feature.

It should be noted that WhatsApp introduced a feature to hide the IP address of calls in the past few days.

The report also shared a screenshot indicating that the feature will be present in the profile photo settings within the privacy section.

The report stated that the alternate profile will give users more control over the privacy of their profile photos.

For example, if you have restricted the profile photo to just your contacts, people outside the contact list cannot see the profile photo.

But with this new feature, such people will be able to see the user’s alternate profile photo.

In this way, this feature will protect users’ privacy and give them more control over their details.

Users will likely be able to add a profile photo as well as various details to the alternate profile.

Currently this feature is in beta version so it is hard to say when it will be rolled out to all users.
