Yes indeed cyber security experts have released a list of the most popular or worst passwords of 2023 which is stunning.
This list has been released by a company called NordPass.
For this, the company analyzed the list of leaked passwords in 4.3 TB of data available on the dark web.
According to this list, 123456 is the most popular password.
If this is your favorite password too, know that every year for a decade it has been holding the ‘honour’ of the most popular/worst password on some company’s list.
Similarly, admin came second while 12345678 came third.
123456789 and 1234 ranked 4th and 5th respectively.
1234 was ranked sixth, password seventh while 1234 was ranked as the eighth worst password.
Aa123456 came in at number 9 in the segment while 1234567890 took the honor of being the 10th most popular password.
UNKNOWN came in at number 11 followed by 1234567 and 123123 at number 12 and 13 respectively.
111111, password, 12345678910, 000000, admin123, ******** and user ranked 14th to 20th worst passwords respectively.
The company said that 18 of the top 20 passwords require a second to crack.
Remember that each online account should have a different password and try to make it as difficult as possible.
