YouTube is the world’s most popular video sharing service and now it just got better.
The Google-owned service is undergoing 2 major changes that will drastically change its user experience.
9 to 5 Google reports that a new Playables section is being added to YouTube.
This new section will make it possible for people to play games in YouTube.
This new feature is currently available to limited users and will likely be rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks or months.
The second feature is regarding YouTube’s sharing menu.
When a user is watching a YouTube video on a mobile device in landscape mode, the sharing options will appear in the middle of the screen in the form of a floating bar.
However, while watching the video in portrait mode, the sharing option will be present at the bottom.
This feature will also be very useful for users as it will enable them to share videos without leaving the landscape mode.
This feature is also available to limited users right now.
Keep in mind that in recent weeks, the user interface of the mobile and desktop versions of YouTube has undergone a lot of changes.
3 features were introduced in July 2023.
One feature could double the playback speed while another feature could disable touch input while watching full screen video and the third feature was larger thumbnail previews.
Along with this, many changes have been made to YouTube Music while the company is also cracking down on third-party apps.
